Compliance Manager (lending business)

About this Role

In the lending business, compliancy with the required government laws and regulations is crucial to the sustainability and survival of a company.  A compliance officer is responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with required laws and regulations. A successful candidate will get the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive his/her own ideas, and lead initiatives that will make real contributions to the success of the business. This is an essential position that can make a big impact on the company.

What will you do

  • Recommend business operations and advise all stakeholders to ensure that they fully understand and comply with the necessary regulatory requirements

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures needed to comply with the regulatory requirements

  • Closely follow the development of new regulatory requirements

  • Attend public hearings or meetings with regulators to represent the interests of the company

  • Responsible for timely submission of reports according to the requirements from regulators

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in lending business or relevant field

  • Strong problem solver with analytical thinking and communication skills

  • Skilled in analyzing and designing tools that can automate manual processes or optimize work operations

  • Can do attitude, hands on, results-driven and possess self-initiative

  • Able to work well under-pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to work independently with little direct oversight

  • Experience in AML/CFT or non-bank regulation is preferred
