Varunya is Head of Data Engineering at ABACUS digital, supporting a team to design, build, and maintain the pipelines and infrastructure that enable the collection, storage, and processing of large volumes of data from various sources, and prepare data for analysis and ensure it is accessible for data scientists and analysts. She is also responsible for developing loan decision engine and underwriting rules to automate the evaluation and decision-making process for loan applications.

Prior to joining ABACUS digital, Varunya worked at Agoda in the Data Platform team taking responsibilities in the real-time measurements collection and monitoring system which is a high-performance, distributed system for company wide metrics collection and analysis. Besides, she contributed in designing and developing local datacenters booking caching system which enhances the booking retrieval much faster globally supporting customer experiences and personal recommendation mining system.
