Head of Contracted Services

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and detail-oriented Head of Contracted Services to lead our contracted services team, overseeing both IT and non-IT procurement to deliver maximum value and ensure regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for someone with experience in IT project procurement and strong project management skills, who can lead both day-to-day procurement operations and large-scale, cross-functional vendor projects with precision and pace.

At ABACUS Digital, we run procurement—especially for technology and data-related initiatives—like an IT project. That means managing complex timelines, collaborating with stakeholders from tech, product, legal, risk, and finance, and delivering tangible milestones with clear documentation. You will be expected to lead procurement projects end-to-end, from RFP and negotiation through contract execution and vendor onboarding, while also recommending best-practice processes that support IPO readiness and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Lead and supervise the contracted services team, providing hands-on guidance and performance feedback.

  • Oversee the full procurement lifecycle—across both IT and non-IT categories such as technology (SaaS, APIs, cloud, data), marketing, operations, and services—ensuring efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and strong vendor relationships from sourcing through contract execution and ongoing management.

  • Independently lead and manage major procurement initiatives as a project manager, including timeline planning, stakeholder coordination, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and delivery tracking.

  • Design and/or recommend procurement processes and controls that meet IPO and regulatory requirements, ensuring audit readiness and full documentation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to align procurement outcomes with business, risk, and legal requirements.

Requirements:

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or vendor management, with a proven track record of leading both IT and non-IT sourcing.

  • Hands-on experience managing procurement initiatives as structured projects, including ownership of timelines, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Proven ability to design or implement procurement processes that support IPO readiness and ensure regulatory or audit compliance.

  • Excellent negotiation, documentation, and vendor evaluation skills, with strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Experience in—or openness to working in—fast-paced, tech-driven environments, with strong knowledge of IT procurement categories such as SaaS, APIs, cloud services, and data platforms, along with exposure to non-tech categories like marketing, operations, and professional services.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Familiarity with procurement or contract lifecycle platforms (experience with digital procurement tools is a plus).
